ReContour is a versatile distortion and tone shaper used to dramatically change the tone and dynamic of audio. It can be used in all the ways you might use a compressor or waveshaper.
Compressor or Waveshaper ?
You heard that right. This plugin lives neatly in between being a compressor and a waveshaper. While it gives you precise control over the transfer function used for altering the wave shape, it also has attack, release, and smoothing characteristics.
Spectrum Band
You can easily limit what portion of the spectrum will be altered by the effect, so you can add tone or change the dynamics of just the kicks, for example, or add a high end sizzle.
Morphing
This effect has 2 banks for the transfer function, and a morph knob to let you move between them. Adding a bit of automation to the morph, you can also create a dynamics curve that evolves with the music in all sorts of ways.
Automation
Like all of our plugins, you can automate any parameter with an envelope follower, ADSR, LFO, or even a step sequencer. This gives you some extreme options for control and mods.
