Beat ReBuilder

Replace and rebuild beats

Grab beats out of thin air! This plugin deciphers a beat and adds layers of sound on it. You can use this to replace or augment parts of a beat, or as inspiration for new MIDI patterns and audio loops. Beat ReBuilder outputs MIDI and audio, and can render MIDI clips, giving you maximum flexibility.

Decompose Beats

Using advanced audio classification and fingerprinting, Beat ReBuilder detects percussive sounds within audio. Once identified, you can layer your own samples on top of the beat or replace it entirely. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the MIDI data for use in your own drum machine.

Crossfade & EQ

Beat ReBuilder can also act as a real time beat layering machine, creating a layer of new beats to augment the input. The addition of EQ and a crossfade means you can treat this like a DJ environment, using the newly created beats for transitions in a variety of ways.

Instant MIDI Clips

Beat ReBuilder keeps a loop of the most recent audio, allowing you to take audio loops and create a corresponding MIDI loop, which can be dragged into the DAW for use in drum tracks or sequencers.

Continuous MIDI Output

Down and dirty, our take on this classic and vital effect is a time tested classic, embellished by our own custom touches. Use this plugin to alter the dynamic range of your signals and you will not be disappointed! Here is the quick low-down on all of it.

Limit / Expand / Gate

By simply adding downward and expansion modes, we allow our compressor to be used for a very wide variety of use cases. In addition to the traditional downward compression, you can use this plug for upward compression, as well as downward and upward expansion. You can use this compressor as a gate, expander, limiter, vocal compressor, noiser, denoiser, or any number of other dynamic shapers.

Sidechain & Mid-Side

For advanced users, we include a sidechain input and mid-side mode. We've made it very easy to configure for pumping (see our video on setting up a daft punk style sidechain in 1 minute). The Mid-Side mode is configurable to allow for some very exotic combinations (compress the side signal with the mid, the mid with the side, the side with the side, leave the side untouched and compress only the mid, etc)

Filtering

We added a filter to the detector, so you can choose compression that reacts, for example, only to the bass hits. Advanced options, like the auto release, allow you to avoid pumping, or set the release longer and get the offbeat swells that are characteristic of so many techno tracks.

In short, the advantage of our plugin over others is price. You will not find another Compressor with this level of detail and range of features at this price point.

Delay

The Spectrum

Most delay plugins are designed to look like hardware - a bunch of knobs and some switches. While that is fine for studio work, and old school producers, it is out of step with the modern producer or performer. That’s why we have included high resolution FFT spectrum displays on this plugin. You can literally see how you are affecting the music, allowing for better use of the effect.

Beat Quantization

The inclusion of a deep quantization system that works in real time is key to creating a delay effect that will work in a live environment. By right clicking on the delay time parameter, you can change the allowable quantizations of the measure. Setting the delays to different quantized lengths is an easy way to build simple polyrhythms.

Filter Sweeps

Finally, we’ve added a couple filters which can be swept at the touch of a button. A filter sweep is one of the most common effects used in EDM production, and here we make it intuitive, simple, and visible. You can use this to strip away the beat and hear only the high end response, or sweep down and have the bass beats come rushing back in.

Disarray

Chaos Returns!

Directly inspired from the KAOSS pads of the early 2000s, Disarray allows you to intuitively control multiple effects across an XY plane to control effects chains live. It's perfect for creating slow builds, quick drops, effect riding, and soundscapes, whether it's live or in the studio.

And for those who still want the tactile feedback of a physical controller, Disarray is also compatible with MIDI controllers. You can even hook up an iPad, an increasingly common tool among producers.

Unbelievable Control

Freely control scratches and fades

Precisely control the virtual turntable's position and fade to create a number of different scratch patterns, like two-click flares or crabs. DropZone is based on the same architecture as Scratch Track, so scratches sound realistic.

Add your own samples

EchoThief

What is EchoThief?

EchoThief is a real-time reverb convolution plugin. What sets this plugin apart is its use of the EchoThief impulse response library, created as part as a collaboration with sound designer Chris Warren. This library was created using custom, state-of-the-art signal processing technology that enables the recording of impulse responses in acoustic spaces that are too noisy to capture using other methods. From typical convolution reverb standbys such as concert halls, to previously inaccessible spaces such as the Batcave from the original 1960s TV show, this plugin will give you an unprecedented range of acoustic spaces to play in.

Hacking the Launchpad

The LaunchCraft plugin extends the native functionality of the Novation Launchpad MK2 and Launchpad Pro. When using the Launchpad in Notes mode, instead of being locked into a single note layout, this plugin allows you to choose from a variety of scales and modes, trigger samples from pads similar to a drum machine, and synthesizes sounds using any synth or other VST/AU instrument.

Note Quantization

The LaunchCraft plugin can quantize the pads to a large variety of scales and modes, allowing for easy and intuitive melodic exploration.

Session Mode

In session mode, you can trigger samples much like you would with a drum machine, or the session view of ableton or other DAWs.

Instrument Support

Overdrive 5

What is RingMod?

The Ring Mod is the dirty little secret of synth enthusiasts and dark hip-hop and dub producers everywhere, but it is little understood, and often overlooked. The Ring Mod has been used in the design on many, many synthesizers, particularly the early modular synths (Moogs, Oberheims, etc). Notably, it was also used as the voice of the Daleks (in Dr Who). More recently, Ring Modulators have been used to make distinctive dub-bass wobbles, and some of the weirder noises you hear in the music of Amon Tobin, for instance.

Built to Move

Parity EQ was built with motion in mind. All filters can be responsive to incoming audio, LFOs, Envelope Followers, Step Sequencers and more. The results are highly reactive and expressive filter-scapes and creative effects.

Fine Control

Parity EQ gives you flexible control over the tone of your sounds, with a huge variety of filters and cutoff slopes (up to 96 dB/octave). You can easily shape vocals or instrumentation and fix problem areas in your productions, or mod/morph them into creative oblivion, creating soundscapes that dramatically alter like the incoming audio.

Picante

EchoThief Inspired

This plugin is a direct collaboration with Dr Chris Warren (aka Superhoax); who is also the genius behind Echothief, the library of impulse responses we use for our modeling reverb of the same name. The plugin is adapted from his Picante MaxForLive patch.

Soft Saturation

Picante works as a tone shaper, graphic EQ, and light distortion. It can be made to add grit or a soft fuzz. The full range EQ gives you precise control even as the limiters introduce a nuanced amount of nonlinearities for tonal depth.

Light, Sweet, Crude

We use a unique combination of limiters and saturation to obtain a light push overdrive that is perfect for bring out the grit in horns and vocals, or used more aggressively it can be used to push a tone to be hard but not heavily distorted.

Q Power

The inclusion of variable Q gives another dimension of control as you can push the sounds resonance toward ringing. This lets you use this plugin as an effect for otherworldly sounds, shaping a saxophone into a thick tinny sound and then morphing into a ringing percussive blast.

ReContour

Demos

ReContour is a versatile distortion and tone shaper used to change the tone and impact of audio. It's great for both surgical improvements to dynamics and complete transformations to the sound.

Compressor Waveshaper Hybrid

ReContour sits nicely between a compressor and a waveshaper. It gives you precise control over the transfer function used for compressing the signal, while having attack, release, and smoothing characteristics for more creative freedom.

Limit with the spectrum band

Limit what portion of the spectrum is compressed for tighter control. For example, you can focus on the low-end for a boomier kick, and the high-end for a snappier snare.

Morph between curves

Create two different compression curves, then switch between them with the morph knob. By automating the morph parameter, you can create compression that evolves with the music.

Automation

Like all of our plugins, you can automate any parameter with an envelope follower, ADSR, LFO, or even a step sequencer. This gives you some extreme options for control and mods.

What is RingMod?

 The RingMod (ring modulator) is the dirty little secret of synth enthusiasts and dark hip-hop and dub producers everywhere, but it is little understood, and often overlooked. The RingMod has been used in the design on many, many synthesizers, particularly the early modular synths (Moogs, Oberheims, etc). Notably, it was also used as the voice of the Daleks (in Dr Who). More recently, ring modulators have been used to make distinctive dub-bass wobbles, and some of the weirder noises you here in experimental EDM.

Syncing & Quantization

We are also the first to give you a variety of syncing options. This means you can cause the ringing to immediately sync with the playhead as a straight, quarter note pulse (for example), or as an offbeat triplet, or 64th notes. You can even choose to quantize the sync frequency to pitch instead of bpm, for a variety of melodic ringing options. No other RingMod comes close to offering that level of control.

Variation

The only RingMod out there to give you the option to use waveforms other than Sine for the Ringing Effect. This means you can alter the sound in more than just the typical "robot voice" way. Instead, experiment with a variety of transforms, all syncing, all precise, all unique. You can even skew the wayeforms (pulse width modulation) to get even more variation.

Simple Stems is extremely easy to use! It runs as a standalone or plugin (VST3/AU/AAX). There-a-whaa?

Capable of the strangest bleeps, bloops, whuuuuurls, and pprrrzzzzz - is it any wonder theremin is an often misunderstood and abused instrument? Here we take this strange and novel instrument as a template for a new way to control a mono synth.

A Powerful Synth

At it's core, this is a mono-voice synth. It is perfectly geared for vintage style synth leads, with hard syncing and tone control similar to what you see from the great synth pioneers in early modular synths.

Unique Control

The novel idea with this plugin is that you can control pitch and volume each with a single variable (as you would with a theremin). This allows for new and interesting ways to manipulate the synth sounds. Since the synth is always mono with portamento, it slides between notes as you move up and down the range.

Quantization

Additionally, we have added the option to quantize the input pitches. This way, as you slide the pitch control up or down, you will hear the sound slide through all the notes of the selected scale. Immediately develop skills that it takes traditional theremin players years to attain.

XFade

Fades in a DAW?

XFade is designed to give the producer or DAW DJ a simple crossfader, suitable for mixing, production, or live performance. This plugin allows you to fade between 2 input streams within the DAW, overlaying samples on each side as well.

Damn Fast

XFade operates with 0 latency and can fade in/out more than once in a buffer, so it will be lightning fast even with larger buffers and older sound-cards. If you plan on crab scratching in your DAW, this is a must. Be sure your midi device is high speed, XFade can keep up!

Adjustable Cutoff

You can adjust the crossfade slope. Use a sharp curve for fast cuts, or a gradual slope for slow and smooth fades between tracks.

Add Samples

Additionally, there are sample players on each side, which can overlay audio int the mix. Keep an extra track to fall back on when mixing, blast an air horn or one shot for some extra energy, or have a loop to fall back on while your guys drop a solo. A must for live performance.
